Anima Christi
Soul of Christ, make me holy. Body of Christ, save me. Blood of Christ, fill me with love. Water from Christ’s side, wash me. Passion of Christ, strengthen me. Good Jesus, hear me. Within your wounds, hide me. Never let me be parted from you. From the evil enemy, protect me. At the hour of my death, call me, and tell me to come to you that with your saints I may praise you through all eternity. Amen.

O Praise the Lord
O praise the Lord, all ye nations;
Praise Him, all ye people.
For His mercy is confirmed upon us;
and the truth of the Lord endures for
ever.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son,
and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the
beginning,
is now, and will be for ever. Amen.
For All Good Things
Saint Thomas Aquinas (1225-1274)
Loving God, who sees in us nothing that you have not given yourself, make my body healthy and agile, my mind sharp and clear, my heart joyful and contented, my soul faithful and loving. And surround me with the company of men and angels who share my devotion to you. Above all, let me live in your presence, for with you all fear is banished, and there is only harmony and peace. Let every day combine the beauty of spring, the brightness of summer, the abundance of autumn, and the repose of winter. And at the end of my life on earth, grant that I may come to see and to know you in the fullness of your glory.
I saw this prayer and thought of you. I also have experienced the dark cloud of depression for decades. Only by the Grace of our Living Savior can I face the day.
ReplyDeleteO Christ Jesus,
when all is darkness
and we feel our weakness and helplessness,
give us the sense of Your presence,
Your love, and Your strength.
Help us to have perfect trust
in Your protecting love
and strengthening power,
so that nothing may frighten or worry us,
for, living close to You,
we shall see Your hand,
Your purpose, Your will through all things.
